Protection and Social Cohesion
People & Environment Action (PEA) promotes protection, dignity, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence by supporting vulnerable communities through protection services, awareness activities, and social cohesion initiatives.
People & Environment Action (PEA) implements protection and social cohesion programs that promote safety, dignity, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence among vulnerable and crisis-affected communities. Our interventions focus on strengthening community resilience, reducing protection risks, supporting vulnerable groups, and fostering positive relationships within and between communities.
PEA conducts protection awareness activities, community dialogues, psychosocial support initiatives, child protection interventions, gender-sensitive programming, and social cohesion activities that encourage trust, participation, and peaceful conflict resolution. We work closely with community leaders, women, youth, and local stakeholders to strengthen inclusive community structures and support vulnerable individuals affected by displacement, conflict, poverty, and social exclusion.
Our programs prioritize women, children, persons with disabilities, displaced populations, and marginalized groups while promoting accountability, human dignity, and community participation. Through integrated and community-driven approaches, PEA contributes to building safer, more inclusive, and socially cohesive communities across Ethiopia.
