Environmental Resilience
People & Environment Action (PEA) promotes environmental protection and climate resilience through sustainable natural resource management, environmental restoration, and community-led adaptation initiatives.
People & Environment Action (PEA) implements environmental resilience programs that support communities to adapt to climate change, protect natural resources, and promote sustainable environmental practices. Our interventions focus on strengthening community resilience to environmental shocks such as drought, land degradation, water scarcity, and climate-related disasters.
PEA promotes environmental restoration through tree planting, soil and water conservation, rangeland rehabilitation, climate-smart practices, environmental awareness campaigns, and community-based natural resource management initiatives. We work closely with local communities, authorities, and stakeholders to encourage sustainable environmental stewardship and strengthen resilience against climate and environmental challenges.
Our programs prioritize vulnerable and climate-affected communities, including pastoralist populations, women, and youth, while promoting sustainable livelihoods and ecosystem protection. Through integrated and community-driven approaches, PEA contributes to building environmentally resilient, sustainable, and climate-adaptive communities across Ethiopia.
